Here are my lavender bantam araucanas a month on:
Looks like we have 4 boys and 2 girls
Will be looking for homes for the boys, swapping one of them for an unrelated boy, and another girl so I have 3:1

How can you tell which are the boys, we have two black ones at 8 weeks old and still do not know what they are  |

Not easily, Chickweed. Of any breed of chicken that I've ever kept Araucanas have proven to be the hardest to sex. However over the next week or two the males combs do go redder whilst the females stay pinkish. Also the males develop a more confident strut!  |

Hello
I have a mix of chicks, a lavender Auraucana bantam, a Barbu d'Uccles and a Maran. How big do the Auraucana banties grow - our is tiny (but perfectly formed)  |
