Ooh! I've just eaten my first and second home-laid eggs!

You can certainly taste the difference, much creamier and a much more subtle taste than shop-bought eggs.

The eggs didn't scramble as well as shop-bought (I'm not complaining, just observing!) and they have a drier texture.

When I broke them open the yokes were much paler and the white much runnier.

They were really tasty though and I think they were even better as I knew which hen had laid them!

Glad you enjoyed them Laughing
the yolks will get more and more golden and the whites firmer as well once they get into the swing of laying Very Happy
