I like "Strictly" because I go dancing and I like to watch the technique, but I don't watch every week, mainly because I am going out dancing and I don't tape it and if I do watch I miss the end cos I turn over to watch NCIS, so I don't know what's gone on. . . . . enlighten me please?

I looove it
It's the best thing on the box. I normally hate celeb stuff but I really enjoy the dancing.
I'm with you Spana it was a total cop out by the BBC. Tom was well and truly going. But as last years final was a bit of a damp squid with only two couples I think they rigged it so there would still be a final worth watching.
Bring back John!!!!!!! |

I agree totally Spana
My maths isnt my strongest point, but if
Lisa & Brendan got 3 points off judges plus say 1 point off public = 4pts
Rachel & Vincent got 3 points off judges plus say 2 points public = 5 pts
Tom & hagbag (sorry ) got 1 point plus 3 points off public = 4pts
Then we have a tie for the dance off surely (and Lisa and Brendan are saved as they are so much better than Tom).................... so how can the judges "have put the first 2 couples so far ahead that Tom would end up in the dance off even with maximum points off the public so any votes to keep Tom in the final would be a waste of time and money"
Surely thats the whole bloody point??? The couple with the lowest combined score goes out I did wonder how John Sargeant managed to stay in week after week and yet Rachel could be second on the leader board and be in the dance off, something definitely fishy there............... |

I Hope my internet connection is going to stay on long enough for me to reply
Have watched SCD since the first series and loved every moment of it, it is my one vice where the telly is concerned, Oh I forgot I also love Dancing on Ice when that is on (hope ITV are going to show that again in the New Year).
As for the semi-final, I am as pleased as punch that all 3 couples will be going through to the final. From what I can gather from other forums, etc. it was not so much who would be in the dance off but in the wording. Tess always urges people to vote to save their favourites and if in this instance Tom was their favourite there was no amount of voting could save him from the dance off and almost certain elimination.
Am now looking forward to the final and hoping that Tom and Camilla put on a better show and Tom gets to do his show dance along with Rachel and Vincent.
(Whey Hey, I still have connection, thank you FT engineer). |

Well I've listen to all the reasons why it happened but it still doesn't work for me. With only 3 couple in the semi it doesn't take many brain cells to work out 2 of them will be in the dance off
Also another funny thing, when did they work out there would be no dance off, there certainly wasn't the time for one. Tess announces they all go through and the program ends No time left for two couples to dance and get votes from the judges. AND what did they have planned to fill the time next week if only 2 couples were dancing which there should have been, its doesn't look like anything to me so I think they always intended for 3 to go through, if you get my drift
Must add I love it, love the dancing, the music, the dresses, ohhh the dresses |

I must admit if I hadn't become a chef I would have gone into dress design in some form or other.
Its one of the main attractions about the show(aswell as the dancing)
The wife says at 6' 16 stone with a full beard I'm the oddest camp fella she's ever met
Rachel's Rumba stopped me breathing, it was that beautiful! Tom and Camilla totally cocked up choosing the Jive. Hopefully he'll be back on form come Saturday as some of his past dances have been spectacular.
Who's dance has been your favourite so far Spana? |
