We always enjoy turkey flavored gravy on Christmas day , but it'd be nice to try different flavored gravy say on boxing day
Could you put your tried and trusted " gravy " recipes down please
Anything that you've tried and its added great flavor to a meal . |

First make sure you cool the left over gravy quickly in a shallow dish and get it in the fridge asap.
Bring the left over gravy up to the boil and then leave on the simmer and add a couple of spoonfuls of coarse grain mustard. If you want a creamy sauce errr........add a couple of splashes of double cream. For added kick chuck in a splash or two of brandy.....Cracking!!!
Or bring the gravy to the boil and add shed loads of beer, darker the better, and reduce down to original quantity.
If you look on the net for Demi-Glaze sauce recipes, you'll get plenty of ideas i.e add mushrooms, Cumberland sauce, baby onions ............... |

Oh yes!!
Beef Carbonara is beef strips floured and sauteed and then shoved in a casserole dish with beer and onions.
Beer gravy is just a cheat on that principle. It goes great with sausages and yorky puds ..mmmm... |
