I decided to keep it simple and I soft-boiled my first egg for brekkie this morning.
It was a rather small breakfast, I had to share the egg with my OH!!
But it tasted so nice, well worth the wait

I'm an optimistic so i can wait....hopefully I'll get at least one per-Xmas. I was trying to talk the girls into laying one this morning as i gave them a warm bowl of porridge to share so you never know what could be waiting when i get home tonight.... |

Are they Marans hens, Debbie? I also had a first egg today, from one of my Marans pullets and was very disappointed because it's not dark brown at all, just has flecks of dark brown. Although I'm very pleased she's started to lay |
