My Grandad used to use broken glass a hundred years ago
buried just under the soil to stop rats etc.
I used it when I built a pigeon loft many years ago (no rats)
Does anyone use this method today,I wonder ?
The vertical bars are 1" apart
Cheers

I've heard of it. But haven't heard of this method being used recently

| We just did this, but Mr Rat dug the glass into the hen house. Lucky I had no cut feet! |
