i woke up with a funny feelng this morning gut feeling if you like something i was dreading would happen today
well it has defra is coming to do an inspection ,of the animals here ,movement book and the book work and the feed store ,i'm sure everything will be fine ,but if you never hear from me again after tue morning i've been put up against a wall and shot
i've only got 3 sheep, 4 goats and 47 poultry so hopefully will not take long
every holding number is drawn out of the computer system and it's my turn :cry:and to be honest they scare the living s**t out of me even if there is nothing wrong |

| I am sure all will be OK and you are worrying needlessly but it won't stop til they have been and gone |

I know how you feel, it doesn't matter how much preparation you do or how convinced you are that everything is OK until they've actually been and you've passed with flying colours you won't be able to relax. I always feel that they are trying to trick you in to saying something you shouldn't!!
Good Luck! |

Suz, just make sure they all have tags in their ears and that the tags are the same as in your flock records After that, everything should be plain sailing (oh yes, make sure your sharps box is prominent in your meds cabinet too )
best of luck hun dont panic too much xx |

| I am sure you will be fine. Try not to fret too much you will make yourself feel so rough, you will go to jelly on the day. Take up a mantra, that everything is okay..(and believe it) |

| Good luck with it Suz... ran into Giz at An lanntair last night - she said you had a defra inspection... Ian was going to get those khaki campbells for you, but ran out of time getting ready to go offshore. I'll get them for you on the next non-fierce gale day (and perhaps after the inspection...). Must get my hands on that landing net...... |

thanks holly if you stop anybody raising money for children in need or as i just said to the crofters ,waiting to go into the gym ,i have 15 tons of agrri to move ,after the field drains were blocked by next door the water has been backing up ,they told me last week after months of me moaning it was because when they had their oil tank filled 9 months ago the oil leaked straight out and they were told to block it by the fire service and the environmental agency and they have been having the soil washed to remove it ,but because of the blocked drains we have serous mud ,oh yep and i have my first ever lame goat |

i found out yesterday that somebody i know has been inspected ,he had to much water on his yard we have had 1/2 meter of rain in the last 10 days ,and yesterday when the inspection was going on ,it was raining hard and his bull has lost one ear tag got the other ,so he said he was in big trouble
thinking about this as more people are finishing in sheep because of the red tape and prices the more likely it is that you'll get inspected
so the phase that came from i think it was gordon brown and ,that britian is a post agricultural country seems to be happening , there are only 3 sheep men in this township there was more that 20 ,and the moors are going empty now
i got told that they were glad i was being inspected because it means the other crofters don't have to worry it's my turn ,as well as say who's coming they are adding oooohhh they are the worst ,it's good for a wind up ,it wouldn't matter who it is because i haven't got a clue who it is ,i know i'm being an easy tagget
sorry for the rant,i really must take some chill out pills |

| It's quite possible that the inspectors don't enjoy the job either, but if they make allowances, they stand to lose their jobs and nobody can afford that. The real trouble is that GB is ruled by an Urban Elite. |

After the weather we've had this year I should think everybody has too much water in their yard! How can you stop that? Idiots! |
