| Hi Mojo - autosexing breeds in France - I don't know of any. As you know they were developed in the UK so I think it unlikely that any would be in France. I don't think any of the UK ones have been included in the French Standards - hope someone will correct me if I am wrong. Richard |

The French for autosexing is "autosexage" (n) or "autosexable" (adj).
There aren't many in France (I have some but I'm in the Pyrenees). There is a breeder in Deux Sèvres, in St Maxire. Details avalable on the following link:

I have Cream Legbars - four hens and a cockerel at the moment, and only one of the hens is not related to the cockerel. I am intending to breed from this pair in the spring. If anyone within striking distance of département 65 has any Legbar hens for sale, I would be interested.
I am also looking for a Gold Brahma cockerel. |

| Yes - I also breed the Cream Legbars from primarily English stock. I did use a cockerel obtained here in France but his progeny proved him not to be pure. Has anyone any idea of the name of the French Breeds Standards and where it can be obtained from. I would think that PURE French cuckoo marans would be autosexing - sexed on the basis of the headspot (as are all the autosexers). Richard |
