Just looked at another poultry forum [wasnt very good so left again!]
Anyway they have a whole section dedicated to hen theft!! Is it a problem then?
Should I have padlocks on my coop against humans? |

| Yes! and Yes! Be careful who you tell in your neighbourhood that you have chucks and guard them well. Poutry theft is big at the moment with the huge increase in popularity in keeping chickens. |

well I never!
I've not had any cases like this round here so perhaps not many people keep chooks in this 'area' ... Perhaps I should leave my police bowler by the back window overlooking the coop!! |

| No, don't do that unless you want someone to break your window MP! Open invitations like that often taken up in nasty ways! Here speaks the voice of a totally untrusting and suspicious old experienced dude. |

lol we had a chap [about 18] knock on the door last year.. shifty looking.. smiled at me and said "allo" then looked past me at my work bag on the floor and spotted the blue and white checker board trim on my jacket and said "er... erm... I think it's the wrong 'ouse" and went on his way calling to his 'mate' who was across the road knocking on doors...
Never did find out what they were selling / doing but it did make me chuckle.. |
