Hi all

Just thought id upload pictures of my new goat, shes a white saanen and is giving around 5 plus pints a day, she is basically a bombproof goat, fine with foot trimming, fine with milking, stands like a statue without food or being tied up, shes small so easy to handle and doesn't eat much, shes only golden Guernsey size, shes quiet, as you've probably gathered i love her! ha-ha

can thoroughly recommend the saanens, especially if you can find a smaller one, they are so calm and docile, i Will try and upload pictures tomorrow!

I have only ever had the big breeds for some reason. My first goat was a big Toggenburg, then I had a big British Alpine which I took to a BS Billy. That produced two big white BS kids. That BS nanny was enormous, almost as big as the billy. The Alpine was crossed with another BS Billy, and this time had a small nanny and a big billy, but these were both like the Alpine mum!! Also had a lovely Nubian, she was really quiet to handle ...

Only have the two Nubian boys now, and they are also very tall.

Lilac is gorgeous - love the beard. And such a sensible size - mine were all the size of Shetland ponies.

I want to have more milking nannies now if only to keep my farm cats in milk!!

May look out for a couple looking for a good home for life. I was shocked to see how expensive goats have gone nowadays!!
