He is gorgeous - how about Cornflake!
Can I ask a question? I have been told that keeping alpacas will help keep foxes away but how are they around dogs? |

Hi Chris
It is said that they will keep foxes away and i must say that since ive had them (about 4 months) i have noticed that there are rabbitts running in the fields (not sure if thats a good thing or not)
When one of my cats follows me in the field where the alpacas are they will ignore me and walk straight over to the cat, then they will start to run. I have no dogs but a friend of mine did come up with hers and they reacted the same with the dog as a cat.
About his name, my son still wants to call him Magnito (he said the name is from X-Men)
And i agree he is cute, they all are i love going out in the field with them, sometimes i just sit in the field (when its dry) and they come over. |

Hi
He is really cute, how about "Casper" the friendly ghost as he is white, or Gwyn which means white in welsh, or maybe bailey' or baileys if he's a little cream!!! we have a white german shepherd which is called Eira which means snow in welsh but is more of a girly name.
Hope these help |

Well i had a big scare a few days ago and had to call the vet.
When Gismo and her baby boy (named by my son and he doesnt want anything else "Magnito") arrived the grazing of were she was was low. My fields have lots of really green lush grass.
I saw that Gismo was on the floor and she was moving her head back and forth, i went over to her and she looked like she was having trouble breathing, she was drawling from the mouth and her mouth/tongue was really wet and green.
I called the vet which seemed ages for him to arrive and by that time was had perked up. He examined her and she had no temperture. After talking to the vet we think that where she was at her old premises the grasing was low and then when she came to me she had lots of grass and maybe she had eaten to much to quick and some had got stuck in her throat. Touch wood she seems fine now, but i do worry when i go out there. |
