I've just been picking a few blackberries around the wasted part of the garden. Why is it that balckberries hide behind stinging nettles and thorns Sad
I've come in to chnage into clothing which will cover me head to foot and protect me, before I continue. I will need to pipck loads, I wanna make some wine Laughing

Okay, it's in the Lounge, sorry, maybe it should move to recipes, not that I'm asking for any.
Oh well, I'll shut the **** up now Laughing

Never heard of those, are they a new type of fruit?

I used to make a great cough syrup using blackberries vinegar and honey Razz

After dressing in protective clothing, I managed to pick 2lb 10oz. The recipe I wanted to use is for 6lb.

http://www.red4.co.uk/Recipes/blackberry-wine.htm
Can anybody re rig the quantities for me, as i don;t believe I should just halve everything?
Confused

Um, I think it's actually a mixture of bramble and blackberries I've picked Confused

Hehe. I always take the dogs blackberry picking round the fields, we get thousands! By about September I'm always fed up of all the blackberry stuff mum makes, so I tend to end up giving the rest I pick to the chickens, and on the way round picking the blackberries, the dogs. They love them! Seni and Dash sometimes come to, sitting on my shoulder, having the ocassional blackberry that doesn't go in the bucket for the others.
