My 20 week old banty ate my pearl earing. I am worried about how it will affect her. I'm afraid it will hurt her. I'm also wondering if she will poop it out? How long will it take?

| Not the first time this has happened. Isolate her on newspaper and await results. Not really a fun job searching through chicken poop, but at least she showed good taste! |

The last one we heard of had a different twist though, it turned out the lady had been sifting through all the poos for several days, only to find the earing had got caught on her jumper after all, and did not go through the chicken
I never wear earings around my girls anymore, its one thing they can not be trusted with. |

And the twinklier the earring, the more they try to grab it! |

Thanks for the warning, didn't think about earrings with chooks.
I have the problem with my cockatiels who sit on m shoulder and love to try and drag the earrings out - the now know the word NO |
