Hope the improvement continues Knobby. Enjoy the good times with her Very Happy

I must admit I've been quite envious of my sister's chooks - they just seem to be ill one day and drop off the perch the next before she can even get them to the vets. Mine always seem to be intent on dragging it out and paying a few more installments on our vets new car first Laughing

My OH kindly says that our chooks choose to come and live with me because they know the private health insurance scheme is worth it Wink

Err, who you asking? Just incase: no, I didn't get my hybrids this year (one Buttercup and one Bovan Nera) from Bell Plantation or Woodside.

I did look at Bell plantation, but they didn't have what I wanted at the time. No, that's not quite true - they had what I wanted, but I went home to think about it / convince my OH and by the time I had done that, what I wanted had been sold Sad

Meadowsweet had an ad in Practical Poultry at the time, and they mentioned another supplier over Oxford way - so we went there instead. Good thing was they had several dogs there too, so the chooks were used to dogs (very useful for us as we have 2 German Shepherds).

My original 4 chooks (2 Rhode Island Reds and 2 Welsummers) came from the Wernlas collection who were at the time, and have since been, very helpful.
