We've just had our very first chick hatch in the incubator this morning, pipped the shell and very quickly broke out.
The dogs are absolutely fascinated, just wish there was power in the camcorder battery (it's on charge now), hopefully we'll be able to catch some of the other eleven coming out.
Yeah, I'm a 'daddy' |

I promise photos to come.
One question, it's now moving around quite well and has moved all of the other eggs around. I know that you're to stop turning in the last three days, so we removed the tray/guides that they were in. But will them having now been moved by the chick be a problem |

| No, c'est normal...it's called football with eggs. Leaving the chick in the incubator will help encourage the others along. It will cheep at them, keep them awake and help them with their pipping. |

The guy on the left is would you believe it only three days older than the other guy who was the 'runt' that needed help with hatching.
