Sure have. And it's delicious.
250ml whipping cream (or 150ml double made up with milk)
250ml milk
100g caster sugar
60ml Baileys
Combine and stir till it all dissolves. Chill. Churn. |

| nanny p, did you make the rich ice cream for your visitors yesterday or did you do the other version that stephen suggested, less cream more milk? If the latter was it nicer for you? |

No, I think the next time I make some it'll be CHOCOLATE cos that way, if it's too rich, I'll deal with it. |

I finally did it.............finally got up the courage to give it a go and make some ice cream. It was delicious. I used 4ozs sugar instead of 6ozs and .75pt milk and .25pt double cream.
Used the freezer mix that Stephen gave 5grm to 20ml water and it all worked well, I feel so pleased. |

worldor, I bought an ice cream maker that stephen recommended back on page 2 or 3 I think, a Gaggia. It makes the ice cream and freezes it at the same time. It has 2 bowls, one fixed and one removeable and I wanted to use the removeable bowl because it can be completely removed for washing. To use that bowl you had to use an alcohol solution which I can't use. Stephen very kindly hunted down another freezing solution ~ 5gr salt to 20mls water. If your machine needs the bowl keeping in the freezer you won't need that information.
If you look at the beginning of this thread and dotted about in it you will find one or two recipes ~ I just made the basic recipe no 2 I think that stephen had put up ~ it was lovely ~ just a tiny bit of pure vanilla oil as I didn't have any pods |

| Thanks for that, I remember now that you had a problem because of the alcohol. Mine is just the cheap ice cream maker that you have to put in the freezer but I can't wait to have a go. I have printed out all of the suggested recipes from the earlier posts and also bought a couple of books from Amazon through the site. My small way of saying thank you to Stephen. |
