My broody pekin has pooped on the nest / eggs (day 13 of incubation).
I forced her off the nest just now and she did eat and poop but her underside is quite soiled. I have removed the poop from the nest but the eggs are quite dirty.
What should I do - should I quickly bath her? I have never bathed any of my chickens so advice on how to would be good too. She is pretty vicious right now.
I understand that the eggs should not be cleaned, but do i go on with the incubation, or get her some newly hatched chicks and go for that method? If I do this - wouldn't she need to be cleaned up before I introduced them?
Thank you in advance. |

| I would clean up as best as possible in as quick a time as possible. Most of her contact with the eggs is where her breast is bare. If the eggs are bad I would give them a quick wipe with a damp cloth. This is my opinion and not necessarily the 'right' answer. |

Mine "pooped" on the eggs, just give her a quick wipe and the eggs and let them get on with it |
