Embarassed Embarassed Still on the camera.

I have to use Mark's PC to upload them, as my card reader doesn't work anymore. Just haven't been in the mood to go and do that......sorry.

I will do soon, I promise...but, don't hold your breath, it really is a very boring seam.

As previously reported the photo's do not do justice to the womanship level of detail that has been achieved, it is genuinly a lovely addition to the home - and have had to restrain Trouty from purchasing a machine.

Kathy - you set yourself a hard task - a straight seam in full view - and you achieved a great result, give yourself credit! Now, what's next?

Very Happy Okay, thanks.

Well, I had the dentist today and planned to go and look in the Emmaus, which is a charity shop...but, it was closed. Hoping to find some dresses or material, to be inspired by. I don't have anything much spare here.
Will go again next week (for my last dentist appointment!!!).

For some reason I can't view your link nannyP Confused

There must be something in the air because i've just dusted off my sewing machine to do some 'mock' roman blinds.

I've also bought some fabric yesterday to re-do the seat covers for my kitchen chairs and window pelmets and!!!!!!! i've bought some wool to knit a chunky cardigan - took up the knitting needles a few months ago by doing 'fancy' scarves to get back into it.

I must get poorly more often it's a great excuse to be at home doing stuff.

Good idea with the tablecloth, and a lovely seam. Have you considered taking up patchwork and quilting, there are lots of blocks that use straight seams, and charity shops are a great place to pick up contrasting cotton materials to get started with. I love it and have just completed my fourth quilt, and made a patchwork cushion pad for my rocking chair. The good thing about it is that it doesn't all have to be done at once, mind you it does begin to take over an entire room, as one good idea leads to another and suddenly there are 4 projects all started, with bits of fabric for each project piled up on different chairs, the table full of sewing machines, and a husband with nowhere to eat his lunch.
Oh well, he is the one that encouraged me to take early retirement Twisted Evil

Well, I still haven't manage to get to the charity shop near me, and they are few and far between. Everytime we've been that way, they've either been closed, or we've been busy. next week sometime, I might go and see what there is....and hopefully will come up with something to do some more.
Meanwhile, I am wasting a lot of time (and enjoying) playing Scrabble on Facebook.
