| Ok, so my chickens can be walking around the garden not hungry, but as soon as I pick up their feeder they chase me and when I put it down they all start eating as if they haven't all day? Whats up with this? Oh and 3 out of 4 now laying but only 1 egg in nesting box, 2 on floor. Sometimes 2 in the same nesting box but there's this one that's ALWAYS empty? |

youre right there pekinout lol. Well its about time they went to bed now. They are on mash aswell because man said thats what they are used to, do I need to wean them on to pellets or will they just get it. Its driving me CRAZY the amount of food they literally just kick out of the feeder as if it 'aint their problem! Haha I'm really obsessive-we have concrete slabs in the run to the chicken house and I put the feeder on the slabs so I can sweep up all the wasted food and put it back in the feeder |

You can mix a few pellets in so they get used to it gradually.
Is there anyway you can hang the feeder up? That'll stop them scratching them all over the floor. |
