Over the past few days I have been trying to contact chicken breeders in the South of UK to order some hatching eggs for NannyP to collect on her travels. 7 e-mails sent, 5 follow up phone calls, all answer machines so left messages asking for urgent replies to my e-mails, to date I have had one reply and his birds were moulting so no eggs.
Why do breeders advertise, some with internet sites and they don't bother to reply to enquiries?
Sorry, rant over.

I think the problem may be the popularity of hen keeping in the UK at the moment. Breeders can sell whatever they've got, when they want, and maybe don't feel the need to be polite to potential customers!
