I don't know about the roll aways, but feel sure someone will be along who does!
In the mean time, what about trying some crock eggs to try and persuade your hens to use the nest boxes? And try making the nest boxes dark. Sometimes if they can't see the eggs, they don't eat them. |

Do you mean the inserts I sell?
Suport the front and have the spout point towards a collection area that the hens don't have access to.
To make the nest darker hang curtains over the front - old fed sacks, DPC etc. |

| Don't bother with the mustard in the egg thing - it doesn't work. Birds can't taste "hot" in fact if you want to keep squirrels away from the bird table food it is recommended to put chilli powder in your bird feeder..... |

Debbie, chickens can't taste that hot taste that chilli powder and mustard have. So don't put any chilli or mustard in your "trick" eggs, it won't do any good. Best way is roll-away nest boxes or dark nest boxes. Put pot eggs (2 or 3) in each nest box before you put the roll-aways in so the chucks get an idea of where to lay. When they've laid a few eggs in there (or you find the sticky remains of an egg in the nest box ) then's the time to put the roll-aways in. |
