Is it normal for 4 and a half week old chicks to be fighting? My Sumatrans are twice the size of the smaller Japanese bantams and seem to launch themselves at the little ones! They dont seem to cause any harm but they sqeek alot. Probably shouting Bugger Off!

Mine all play fight quite a lot. Think it's natural behaviour.

yeh thought so, makes me laugh lots! they dont hurt each other just jumping and flapping at each other

put a card or wire mesh divider in the brooder or run...........my jap chicks are in with 3 orps of the same age but are3 times bigger but aftera few days peace riegned and now all huddle together
