If the duck eggs are clean you can put them in the fridge (best) and keep them for about 2 weeks sometimes longer. It's only when you get dirty shells that it's not advisable to keep them more than a week as duck egg shells are more porous than hens shells.

So if the shells are mucky there's more chance of bacteria penetrating the shell and contaminating the egg.

I've kept ducks for 22 years and never eaten a duck egg. Embarassed

No reason except that I'm not that keen on eggs

My hubby loves duck eggs.
He says you can really taste the flavour differance in them to hens eggs. He loves them.

I thought Duck eggs could be washed with warm water? We don't bother, never left long enough to matter lol

I've never had a duck egg before either, don't know why but I just don't fancy them. They are supposed to be fab in cakes and baking though.
