|
|
Our Hens started laying a couple of days ago (Friday) and we already have 4 eggs, and only 2 have started laying out of 5, funnily enough, the eggs are pretty odd really as our first egg was double yoked and they are the most funny shaped and sized with rather weird markings, has anyone else had strange eggs from their hens in their first week of laying?
Thanks... |

Oh yes - par for the course really.
They can lay weird eggs anytime. Yesterday we had a really tiny one & all our girls have been laying well. (though 7 are trying to be broody at the moment!) |

Yess you always get odd shaped eggs when they first start laying, my youngest hens have just started laying more normal shaped eggs |

| Look out for soft shelled eggs, they are normal too - they can do all sorts of funny things with their eggs to begin with. |
