I've been wondering about the same thing. I bought a couple of meadowsweet pol chickens ~ a daisy belle (charlie) and a bluebell (priscilla), who isn't quite true to colour. I think it is priscilla who has come into lay, not caught her in the act yet, but her bits and bobs are redder than charlie's. Her eggs are pointy both ends and longer than average, also skinnier than average and usually double yolked. I thought it was just a beginner's thing, but maybe she'll stay that way.

My double yolkers are the same way....pointed on both ends and long. I only get them during the spring and summer. My egg customers love it!

You will get some eventually. My younger girls don't lay them. Only the older ones.
