Hi iv got a chicken, shes an amber and she lays double yolked eggs nearly every other day, is this in itself quite normal?? another thing Ive noticed is not all but some of these eggs arnt egg shaped , they are like a rugby ball, so they have two pointed ends |

| I've been wondering about the same thing. I bought a couple of meadowsweet pol chickens ~ a daisy belle (charlie) and a bluebell (priscilla), who isn't quite true to colour. I think it is priscilla who has come into lay, not caught her in the act yet, but her bits and bobs are redder than charlie's. Her eggs are pointy both ends and longer than average, also skinnier than average and usually double yolked. I thought it was just a beginner's thing, but maybe she'll stay that way. |

| My double yolkers are the same way....pointed on both ends and long. I only get them during the spring and summer. My egg customers love it! |

| You will get some eventually. My younger girls don't lay them. Only the older ones. |

I know We have made it so the nest boxes are far more private. The girls seem happy and healthy so I am not worried. |
