| Mine are all confuzzled, they they sleep in the nest box and lay on the floor!! My perches are not very high lower than the nest box I put a higher stick across but I think it is too high for the banties! Do the nest boxes need a bit to close off the front a little to keep the bedding in? as our chickens knock it out all over the run. I will try and get them on their perches tonight!! |

| I've put a piece of wood about 3'' high across the front of the nesting boxes to keep the straw in place, otherwise it gets kicked all over the coop! |

My chooks are happy on the perches but the ducks can't make up their minds as to sleep on the floor or in the boxes so sometimes i get clean eggs and sometimes not, ducks also lay eggs either on the floor or in the boxes but at least they are in the coop |

My splash silky, who is the bottom of the order perches on the front of the nest box. She's now taught one of the sussex growers to do the same!! |

I wonder why they pick up each others' bad habits so easily? |
