Do you think if i make another 4x2ft ft to add on, to make an overall 8x4ft box be ok for 12 banties till 6-8weeks?

If you add another 4x2ft to your existing 4x2 it'd either be 4x4 or 8x2 - you'd have to add another 3 4x2ft boxes to make it 8x4

IMHO I think that 2x4 would be fine for their first 3-4 weeks but you'd definitely need to extend it (though I'm used to large fowl so might be a little later)

I think extending it to 4x4 would do them fine till they needed to go outside.
