She's not interested in food, just sits there like a lump. DH reckons she's wobbly on her feet (I haven't noticed that)
I've isolated her.

I've had a look at her and she looks OK to the touch.

It's been about a week since she's been off colour but eating a little whereas today she doesn't seem interested in life at all.

Can anyone help please?

have you any canned or frozen sweetcorn ? I find my Silkies cannot resist it , I feed them with it when off colour or broody, maize is supposed to warm them up too, worth a try imho

She's not interested in the sweetcorn.

I too wondered if she'd gone broody...Here's a really stupid question: could she be broody even if she's not sitting on any eggs?
I put some eggs in there but she's not sitting on them although she is sitting in what (I'm guessing) is an egg-sitting position.

Has she been wormed? Birds that have not been wormed have a lower system of defence.

Get her on her feet and see how she moves. If unsteady, being a silkie, suspect Mareks although it doesn't sound like the classic form (they remain hungry but very unbalanced).

i know DH would disagree but i wouldn't say she's unsteady - just not interested in moving.
But she did move off the eggs I tried to put under her 3 times

Diatom isn't a wormer, so Welsh Duck's suggestion is valid. Mind you, if she's not eating you won't get Flubenvet down her either. A vet will quite often give Panacur paste for chicken which at least you can squirt straight into their beak.

Her condition has worsened. Crying or Very sad

I'll try some antibiotics and then if nothing improves I'm going to have to do what's kindest for her. I can't stand the thought of her starving to death and think it would be more humane to spare her any more suffering.

An uncomfortable decision, but once made it's best to carry it out immediately. You really aren't having much luck at the moment.
