I did some braising steak today, and I usually add onions, but as Mark had had a couple of bad run ins with onions in France, I left them out. I put in herbs, garlic, etc, and then halfway through, I added some home grown tomatoes and thought i'd try one of the many chillies growing in a pot on the window ledge Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed Blimey, it wasn't very big, but boy was it hot Embarassed Embarassed He loved it, I didn't like it so much Rolling Eyes
I'm having to wash it down with plenty of pastis and water Wink

And once you're used to those, you'll enjoy the root ones, too. They're delicious, and you know it!
