Thank you for the info.
I have just been pricing up the Heras fencing and this is definitely the most economical and, dare I say it, easy solution. I like the idea that it is portable and extendable. My son is concerned that it does not look rustic enough but I have said he can paint it green if he is that concerned!
I work in a school and the caretaker is always using this type of fencing to keep out wandering pupils (why didn't I think of it before!), so I will check with him where to get a few panels. You never know, he might have a few spares...
Many thanks. |

Go for it! You'll love seeing them explore their new territory. It sounds like you've well & truly got the bug, so those brahmas are likely to need that extra space! Good luck & keep us posted. |

I've been reading your thread with interest as you have the set up I am thinking of getting: 3 hens in a boughton 902a ark and not being able to free range them apart from a couple of hours a day. I was hoping the ark run was going to be big enough, but you reckon its not? Would be interested to hear your thoughts, on 3 chicks in the ark, the ark itself and the run size! Thanks! Lou |
