So that's where dinmont comes from (dandy dinmont, breed of dog).

Very interesting - I have always admired Mrs B.

ROFLMAO!!!

Me thinks they know you all too well m.m. Laughing Laughing

Bradders, she was revolutionary in her day (Victorian era) and she very sadly died at the age of 28. I always thought she was a more "elderly" lady and was quite shocked when her life story was on the telly a few weeks ago and I realised just how young she was. Her cookery book is still right up there today after over 100 years and is full of fascinating household tips and stuff that still holds true today. One of the best cookery/household books ever written in my humble opinion Very Happy
