My black ones just felt too tight with warm socks on so now have a bright red pair. |

wasnt just me then |
We could try it as a seperate thread but the number of members qualified to post would be cut in half |
Ah yes, but would make for great entertainment (may have to move to the Sewer though!! ) |
I just knew it would be you |
Who me?? (acts all innocent ) |

I've seen a really lovely pair of ivory coloured wellies with pink roses on that I wanted to wear under my wedding dress next year, as we get married from Spana's farm, but I seem to be the only one that likes the idea. |

| This thread has just caused me to count up how old my wellies are. I wear them daily throughout the year and they must be 20 years oldnow. I bought them dirt cheap from Trago Mills in Devon when the kids were titchy and they're up and gone now. They have just developed a split at ankle height of late but they'll be fine for a few more years. |

wow, I'm impressed!! I go through socks and boots at warp speed. You must be extremely light on your feet (or light full stop ) |

I have three pairs not because I'm totally welly obsessed but last summer the weather was so foul that twice when I worked a show it was sodden and I ended up buying a pair because I stupidly turned up in flipflops
So, I have green, purple and blue stripy. I fancy a pair that you paint yourself but can only find those in kids sizes

| Proper rubber wellies can have the splits repaired with a bicyle puncture patch if not too big. Otherwise part of an inner tube & rubber glue does the job! |

Will try that, thanks Henwife. I was considering tank tape but the thought of sticking my feet to the inside of the wellies put me off!
And no, Bronskibeat, I am neither light on my feet or light full stop
I should mention also that these wellies are shared with my OH. His feet and mine being the same size. Not that we wear them at the same time = just, when I'm not wearing them, he is! (He doesn't get out much!) |
