jan you'd only loose them up a cows neither regions
i know what you mean ,i never have a holiday either ,but take time off work because it's the time of the year for peat cutting or the sheep need a new shelter ,i do miss that part of the country
i come from that area
near eve ,
when i was about ten there was very little work and my mother and father decieded that london was the place to go ,for work and a future so we moved ,after about a year i hated it so much i put my big black and white cat in a cardboard box ,took some food and was running way ,to live on dartmoor ,i was going to trap rabbits ,train a horse so i could ride on the moors , the cat escaped 3 times out of the bottom of the box ,don't think he wanted to go
and dad caught me about 6 miles from home ,i could never afford to go back and live there
your farm looks lovely, again thank you for the pics |

Six miles is a long way for a 10 year old on their own carrying a cat I was born and brought up in London, didn't suit me either
If ever you can get away, come and stay with me. |

Ohhh what a lovely looking place you have Spana. I'm so jealous.
We only have a large garden (about an acre). But we do have a stream at the bottom so ideal for waterfowl. the ducks have such a great time dabbling in it.
Wish we had the room to put a pond in but alas we don't. |

I think mums taking me down sometime in a couple of months just me and her when it's school time. Thank god Flo is'nt coming.
She didn't say when but i think she doesn't want to take florence out because florence wants to get her prize for having 100% attendance. |

I would love you all to come down but she has tried so hard for her award it would be a shame for her to loose out now right at the end |

they are great pics, the lifestyle is great but hard work, I am sick of fence posts and fencing, we have put up about 2000 meters of fencing this year, I am sick of it, I should be out now but it is raining and OH is at the post office Jan your highlands are great, infact all the pics of your place I have seen on PK does you proud, I am just getting to know are 11 sheep we have acquired and are new pup Megan, we are gluten's for punishment |

I know how you are feeling Skye girl, when OH goes off to check the stock I sneak in, and when i hear him come back I start doing something.
Our next fencing stage is 4000 mtrs and it wont be finished then. We do it in stages untill we run out of money or enthusiasm.
Its knowing what there is to do that tires me more than working but i wouldn't swap it , would you? |
