To be quite honest I don't know if I've ever seen one set up for beef cattle, but that will be more because I'm not necessarily in the right place than there isn't one, and of course I wont be looking, the ones for dairy cows are set up where the cows regularly walk, usually in the collecting yard and that's where I am so its different. I think it will be fine for yours Jan, they aren't exactly going to lose the long hair in it unless they're moulting in the spring, and the horns wont be a problem either because you know as well as I do they know exactly how to move their heads to get through a small space. I love to watch a cow with big horns coming through a crush with a self locking neck yoke, there's no hesitation - head to one side, one horn through, then the nose, then a twist and the other is through and the yoke is locked. . . . so don't worry about it - get them one, they'll love it, I'm gonna start looking now next time I'm doing beef cattle. . .
