HER TOE DOES LOOK LIKE IT HAS AN OPEN AREA RIGHT AT THE JOINT THAT HOOKS IT ON HER FOOT, AFTER LOOKING AT HER AGAIN THE ACTUAL FOOT LOOKS BLUE AND SWOLLEN. IS THERE A CHICKEN DISEASE THAT MAY CAUSE THIS? I DON'T HAVE A CAMERA TO TAKE HER PICTURE . I BOUGHT HER AT A FLEA MARKET ABOUT 4 WEEKS AGO, SHE HAD NO FEATHERS ON HER HEAD AND I FELT SORRY FOR HER , AND SHE HAS BECOME A SWEET LITTLE PET, I AM GIVING HER TERAMYCIN IN HER WATER, HOPEFULLY THIS WILL HELP. ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL. THANKS BRITSNANNY

Hi, try cleaning up the wound area and then applying some antibiotic cream to it. If you have that clingy bandage stuff that is not sticky...(hope you know what I mean...looks sort of like bumpy elastic and comes in colors), wrap it around her foot making it so that it is not easy to pry off.

Give this a go for 2-3 days....hopefully that will take out any infection and close the cut up.
