A little early...but look.
I was advised to harvest these and use them...they won't store as they will be full of water.
Will make soup next week, once my guests have gone.

Ooh thanks, I've never grown them before, only grew them for fun and had been too late last All Hallows to buy one or two to carve. We had our friends over and I want mark and Roger to carve us a pumpkin.
I think I've managed to persuade them to come again this October, so we'll be able to carve a pumpkin each. |

Wow, they are fantastic! Well done.
We planted 15 squash plants this year which flowered, but in the rain the flowers rotted without being fertilised There is plenty of fresh green growth and I'm hoping that they might flower again when the sun eventually comes out! |

I've been told I can put wax on the stalk, and then put them on open shelves in the cellar and keep them for ages.
These ones apparently, will be too watery and need using rather than storing. |
