Standing still, they do well, once released from my hand and settled. Not like chicks from a broody, I really can hear your incubator calling Summayah.
They are cute and pooing like crazy Very Happy
Thanks for all your comments Wink

If the chick in the bottom pic is a girl - can we have it back? Wink

There is more brown showing in the chicks we have too - must be Roodolph! It looks like it's going to have lovely colouring.

the thing is Julia, it won't fit back in it's protective packaging any more, so I think the answer just might be a 'no'

Well, if it is a girl (I think it's a boy) either way, it is very pretty and will make a beautiful cockerel. And, I'm sure we can exchange eggs, cos I will def keep it if it is a cockerel, so will have fertile eggs. If the black ones are boys (and I think one might be) then they'll go in the POT
Not done it B4, but they'll grow on well, whereas the Pekin cockerel will not really be enough for a sandwich Laughing

Yes, I guess it is a NO, sorry. It's so pretty and would make a gorgeous cockerel or hen. Would you want it for breeding then, or just to admire?

beutifying my garden of course - that's all I have the hens for - oh and the eggs! lol! This is our first year with a cockeral - had to get the hatching eggs from elsewhere up to now so it is a novelty, especially seeing other people with 'our' chicks. We had no idea how they would turn out - coz we haven't done it before.

Wouldn't it be better to have fresh bloodlines than cross breeding?
